This boutique riverfront venue is filled with adventure, romance, and charm, and with it being located just 35 miles west of Denver in Idaho Springs, Colorado, it’s almost as perfect as it gets.
Blackstone Rivers Ranch is unique in that it is “Colorado’s premier riverfront mountain destination”, and it lives up to this claim. Whether you choose to say your vows to the sound of trickling streams set against mossy banks or venture inside amongst their elegant venue quarters, Blackstone Rivers Ranch has something for every couple who desires the ultimate romantic and adventurous evening.
Why Blackstone Rivers Ranch?
If you’ve ended up here, it’s safe to say that a Colorado wedding venue is a high contender for your special day – and I don’t blame you. Colorado is filled with unparalleled rustic beauty, immense charm, and exudes romance that a fairytale storybook would envy. At Blackstone Rivers Ranch, you get the whole package and then some.
For starters, it is located so close to Denver, so guests traveling far and wide alike will have no problem getting to this little slice of heaven. While it is close to the city, it feels like you are worlds away, whisked into your own world where just you and your loved ones stay in perfect bliss.
They host one private wedding per day, so you have the place all to yourself – no other guests in sight besides you and your loved ones for the celebration (except for the occasional furry friend that you may spot in this nature haven). It is all perfectly curated by their staff, in tandem with your wedding photographer/videographer to craft the perfect day and everything that means for you.
A little backstory: Blackstone Rivers Ranch might feel like you are being transported back to the Wild West for a bit – because technically, you are. This place has been around since the gold mining days, followed by the time it became a llama ranch. The family who owns and operates this venue has fostered this out of their dreams and cites “love, relaxation, and wonder” as some of the mystical qualities the Ranch possesses.
The amazing people who own this ranch are involved in community work, giving back, and volunteering often. You can check out the outreach work they are involved in here.
Blackstone Rivers Ranch is pure magic set upon a peaceful Colorado riverfront and invites you to come to create an experience that you will remember for a lifetime.
Details, Amenities, and Wedding Packages
This venue is the perfect Rocky Mountains hideaway. Did I mention this venue will be reserved for the special couple and their guests alone? They only host one event per day, which means no interruptions, just perfect blissful memories happening surrounding you and your loved ones.
Whether you are looking for a petite elopement or a larger celebration, they have you covered. Their petite elopement packages start at only $1,800 and then range from $6,000 to $13,500 for larger parties.
For an elopement, this means the focus is on the two of you alone as a couple, stress and worry-free. This package was designed with only you two in mind and offers a luxurious, intimate ceremony paired with a fine-dining culinary experience that you will be sure to never forget.
Many couples choose this package for their ceremony and then decide on a party later for their friends and families to come celebrate alongside them. Request a wedding brochure if this is something that interests you. Whatever you decide on, the iconic Blackstone Rivers Ranch is here to assist you along the way.
Choose from an indoor or outdoor space to recite your vows, or perhaps one of each if you are throwing an after-ceremony party for you and your guests. They have three different spaces that they hold ceremonies/receptions at including the Mother Lode Lodge, which offers you a rustic-chic indoor space (especially convenient for winter weddings), and two outdoor venues. The Shaker is an open-air platform that is tented with sailcloth (perfect for receptions and ceremonies alike), and my favorite – Highbanker Beach which is a riverside space perfect for intimate vow recitals, bonfires, and cocktail hour with your loved ones.
In addition to the ceremony space, the couple will have the opportunity to stay in the Claim Jumper cabin, and it is everything you want it to be. Snuggle up by the wood-burning fireplace and fall asleep nestled together to the lullaby of the neighboring stream.
Check out their packages and pricing details all right here. The options are endless and are fully customizable for each couple.

As part of all Blackstone Rivers Ranch’s wedding packages, they offer a private cabin for the bride and groom to enjoy the night of the wedding. As for other guest accommodations, the Ranch has an exclusive partnership with Water & Stone Retreat, which is less than a mile down the way. It’s the perfect hideaway for your guests – cozy, alluring, and nestled between sultry streams and forestry, your guest will experience privacy all their own in the aftermath of the celebrations.
