Getting married at The Manor House? We LOVE photographing and filming weddings at the Littleton Manor House property. It's actually the venue we are booked at most often in late 2020 and 2021.
We know you’ll fall in love with The Manor House and the aesthetic of the memories we’ll capture for you here will never go out of style.
Located only twenty-five minutes from the city of Denver, this historic property offers an absolutely breathtaking backdrop for your wedding. Built in 1914 by John Shaffer and his wife Virginia Conser, The Manor House is often described as “perfect,” “stunning,” and “beautiful” by those who have been lucky enough to get married here.
The Manor House sits in a picturesque location just south of Denver and bordered by forests and mountains to the wast. The house itself boasts roughly 8,000 square feet of lovely rooms and common areas. Originally the site of the nearby town’s social gatherings, The Manor House even hosted former president Theodore Roosevelt back in 1916.
This all-white estate makes the perfect backdrop for our photo galleries and highlight films. From the convenient on-site lodging, the epic views of downtown Denver on the back lawn, and the natural light that leaks into the reception space...this is our ideal environment to work with our couples.
As a wedding photographer and videographer, I work closely with DJs to discuss timelines, schedules, and to gain audio for our wedding films. The entire house has top-notch audio quality and our DJ of choice is a joy to work with on creating the right atmosphere for capturing amazing photographs of the best day of your life.
DJ Perry Washington with The Masterpiece DJ is my favorite DJ in the industry. Not only does he MC the majority of the weddings at The Manor House, but he is also guaranteed to keep your friends and family on the dance floor all night long.
Natural light is the best light. From top to bottom and side to side, The Manor House is covered in fantastic natural lighting. Glass pane double door entrances leading to the outside of the house, coupled with the large windows located around the home give our photo and video team the best conditions for our photo galleries and highlight films.
In addition to wedding party, couple, and guest photos, the natural light allows us to preserve the memory of each detail of your day. The lighting ensures that we can capture beautiful memories of your wedding day décor—all the way from the cutlery and drinking glasses to the flowers and seating.
The Manor House’s six-acre property is absolutely bathed in natural light and this is truly a wedding photographer’s dream come true. Whether shooting on the patio, in the fields, by the steps, or inside the house itself, there is excellent lighting to guarantee that you look your best on your wedding day.
Let the tall grass fields of The Manor House serve as a lasting metaphor for the new journey you’re about to embark on, forever remembered in a photograph. The setting of the fields near the venue remind us of the wide-open prairies that the first pioneers traveled across on covered wagons to reach the western coast.
A wedding at this timeless venue means you’ll have access to six acres of picture-perfect scenery. With so much space to discover, we love to wander away from the main house to capture some of your most precious moments. One of our favorite areas to sneak off to for couple photos are the surrounding grasslands and pastures.
The nearby fields and trails offer a variety of options that work great for couples’ portraits, first looks, wedding party photos, and more. With these locations pre-scouted and nearby, we can ensure that we get the amazing photos and footage you are seeking, while getting you back to your guests quickly.
The venue team at The Manor House will coordinate every last detail of your wedding day so you can enjoy your time with your friends and family. Not only is the food and drink service excellent, but the presentation of the property is immaculate, as well.
By and large, the wedding service is the number one highlight for couples who choose The Manor House as their venue. Because we have photographed here so many times, we are very familiar with the staff’s practices and have developed an efficient partnership.
Beautiful scenery aside, the attentive staff at this historic property really makes the experience at this venue top-notch. The white glove treatment offered by the experienced staff and coordinators at Manor House ensures that EVERY wedding runs smoothly. Their attention to detail is unlike any other venue we have worked with in the area.
While typical of the time period in which the house was built, the property’s massive porch is stunning in its own right. From cocktail hour to group photos on the stairs, the patio provides an excellent setting for our filming and photography team.
Large white columns invite your guests into the house with a balcony and classy chandelier providing shade from the sun. From the porch, you can admire the custom outdoor crown molding that outlines the upper portion of the house. A beautifully green lawn awaits at the edge of the roundabout driveway, a clean-cut introduction to this historic property.
Whether sitting down in a rocking chair or standing up, you can take in the beauty of the Denver skyline, Rocky Mountain silhouette, or simply the beautiful stone walkways beneath your feet.
Our team loves the wide porch for capturing the social activities that take place in between the ceremony and reception. All in all, the spacious outdoor areas at this venue give your guests the opportunity to embrace a true indoor/outdoor Colorado experience.
Adding some depth and contrast to your wedding photo album is the house’s library. In design, this room looks like it jumped right out of a Hollywood film set in the 1920s (think Atonement). A dark backdrop of the custom-made solid wood bookshelves offers a unique setting in this bright venue.
A display of timeless leather-bound books and Gatsby-esque furniture pieces adds a classic feel that automatically elevates the look of any dress or suit. The iconic library at The Manor House is perfect for couples’ portraits and makes for a great location for signing the marriage license, as well.
When you step out onto the back lawn at The Manor House, you will be blown away by the natural beauty of the area. Two hills converge at the center of this outdoor space and act as a breathtaking focal point for your ceremony. From this view, you can see the distant skyline of Denver, all within a serene getaway from the commotion of the city.
The venue sits comfortably within the Ken Caryl Valley which covers nearly ten square miles. On the west side of The Manor House lie rock formations that are more than 600 million years old. The Rocky Mountains are located to the north and the Arapaho National Forest is to the west. With nearby mountains and a clear view of downtown Denver, the back lawn of this venue offers beautiful scenery in every direction. This will give you a different photo backdrop option on each individual side of The Manor House.
We absolutely love the bright atmosphere of The Manor House’s reception hall. Adorned with white walls and beautifully exposed wooden ceiling beams, this is a great space to capture photos of all the fun.
The room is surrounded by glass panel doors and big windows to let in views of the property. Skylights allow for some of that gorgeous natural light to flow into the space and the unique chandeliers offer a great addition to photographs of the space. At the end of the reception hall is a massive fireplace that serves as a focal point of the room.
